Gilad Turok

Hey ! I’m a 1st year Computer Science PhD student at Cornell University, Cornell Tech . I am working with Professors Volodymyr Kuleshov and Chris De Sa.

My research is focused on designing mathematically principled diffusion language models. I’m broadly interested in probablistic machine learning , including generative models, AI4Science, and sampling & statistical inference.

I am fortunate to be supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. I am also a Guest Researcher at the Flatiron Institute.

Previously I interned at Uber working on RL for experimentation. Before grad school, I spent two wonderful years at the Flatiron Institute with Dr. Bob Carpenter. Before that, I graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Applied Mathematics.
